1. DEAN OF STUDENTS
The purpose of the Dean’s role is to ensure that TSiBA produces employable graduates of a high standard and acceptable quantity that meet industry demand and international benchmarks and that Pays it Forward.

Core:

The core function of the Dean is to be the executive and strategic head of the academic arm of the institution.

Key Performance Areas:

• Programme Strategy
  The responsibility of the position of Dean is to have a vision for TSiBA’s Academic focus on “graduating entrepreneurial leaders who will ignite opportunity and social change”. Central to this is the   translation of the vision into delivery of current and new offerings through projects and the measurement of TSiBA’s success of delivery through an effective QA system.
• Standard Setting
- Setting standards, policies and procedures for Academics and Students and ensuring that these are implemented uniformly across all of TSiBA’s campuses.
- Setting the policy for among other, the Selection of all applicants to TSiBA’s campuses and overseeing the implementation thereof.
• Management
- Overseeing the Academic Team including all Academic Managers at all TSiBA campuses (dotted line reporting).
- Managing the Academic Team at the Cape Town campus (solid line reports) and responsibility for their development and well being.
- Managing Curriculum design, integration & delivery.
- Managing Academic Administration of data.
- Overseeing Student Support.
- Planning for succession.
- Budgeting.
• Committee Responsibilities
  The role of Dean is an ex officio Executive Director position which requires you to adopt the following responsibilities for as long as you hold this role. They are:
- Member of the Board of Directors of TSiBA Education NPC. The position holds and carries the responsibility of holding the institution’s academic offering (including highlighting risks and achievements) n its totality. 
- The Dean is required to build and maintain TSiBA’s Academic Advisory Council (The Subcommittee advising the TSiBA Board on Academic Affairs) as a body that guides TSiBA’s academic vision and integrity in its entirety.
- Member of the Executive Committee of TSiBA Education NPC. As a member of TSiBA’s “Exco”, you are responsible for the overall success of the academic vision as well as the overall well-being of the organisation and its alignment to its vision.

Experience and Qualifications Required:
• PhD preferred, with a Masters degree as a minimum requirement
• Business experience at a management level (minimum 5 years)
• Direct experience in managing staff and teams
• Academic curriculum development and lecturing experience
• Ten years of experience working in a tertiary education environment
• A respected academic in good standing
• Knowledgeable on governmental and national policy

2. FUNDRAISER (2 positions available)

A leading Educational Institution, TSiBA Education, based in Pinelands, Cape Town, has a challenging opportunity for an experienced, dynamic individual to join their team as a Fundraiser.The purpose of the Fundraiser’s role is to raise donations from, and maintain relationships with corporates, foundations and individuals – nationally and internationally - to further and sustain the work of TSiBA Education Non Profit Company.
Key Performance Areas:

Prospect Research & Networking
• Conduct prospect research for new relationships - generate and qualify leads
• Source and develop client referrals
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies in line with TSiBA’s Sustainability strategy
• Schedule sales activity
• Update and maintain contact database (Batchbook)
• Develop new relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and potential individual donors

New Donor Solicitation
• Make calls to prospective donors
• Meet with new donors
• Provide tours of TSiBA to prospective new donors
• Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
• Cultivate relationships and promote opportunities for involvement with new partners in all areas of TSiBA e.g. TSiBA Executive Education, Internships, BEE, Ignition Centre, etc. 
• Follow up on sales activity
• Secure and close deals for funding/income
• Negotiate donor agreements and obtain Exco approval
• Oversee announcement, marketing and launch of new relationships
• Hand the relationship over to the Relationships Manager and ensure customer service satisfaction and good donor relationships

Proposal Writing
Write and submit customised fundraising proposals or standardised applications, as applicable

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
• Ensure that donor contracts are filed and all staff members concerned understand the reporting and other requirements that have been committed to

Competencies Required:
• Demonstrates excellent fundraising skills
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Excellent sales, communication and presentation skills
• Good organisational skills, planning and strategizing
• Persuasiveness, negotiation skills
• Knowledge of relevant computer applications
• Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
• Knowledge of customer service and basic business principles

Experience and Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• Minimum of Three years’ sales/fundraising experience (minimum)
